It's that time of year again: gray and rainy often over the Venetian lagoon, but the lanes and canals (calles and rios) are bursting with life and colour, especially vivid after sunset.
Writing Maddie's Venetian adventure, TIMELY TAFFETA, was such fun! Hours and hours spent following Carnevale parades and revelers, and then imagining Steampunk and spies lurking and plotting amongst them, the intrigues and revelations ticking along with occasional startling gongs and fireworks!
